This is an important part of life. Our own bodies symbolize the act of giving whether we want it to symbolize that or not. Our bodies have a "cleaning" system. It is the elimination system.....whether by sweating or by digestion and elimination.
So when we have a lot of "things" in our own homes, clutter, accumulates. It is unpleasant to live in a lot of clutter (believe me I know). Because of this, set up a method to "give away" things.
Matt 6:19-21
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
1. Have a little box, purse or container that is for 10% or more of your income to which you may donate to church functions to which you agree applies to scripture and charities. (Did you know that the first charities in the USA were originally Jewish based charities?)
2. Set up a container to store items which you would like to give away items.
3. Spend more time with other people in need so you KNOW what types of things this world needs.
4. Teach your children to enjoy giving away things rather than getting things for themselves.
5. Charity means LOVE. So if you want to show the love that Jesus asks of you......be CHARITABLE.
6. If you don't have a lot of income and even if you are living off of Gov't assistance in various ways, consider giving 10% or more whenever possible so that our GOVT' does not need to increase its taxes!
7. It costs NOTHING to give the gospel! The gospel impacts life, even by the simple stories in Old and New Testament that inspire people to live better and more effectively.
8. If you are a Stay At Home Mom or homemaker, simply consider giving away 10% or more of your budgeted amount, which it does not matter if your husband is a godly man or not. Your influence in giving, goes back to him as he recognizes where his money "went."
A possible place to consider donating or developing such a center in your area that would not come back void: http://raggedycottagegarden.blogspot.com/2017/11/ideas-for-replacement-of-planned.html
