TIME MANAGEMENT: How to avoid idle time.

Time Management
-riseth while it is yet night
-her candle goeth not out by night
-looketh well to the ways of her household
-eateth not the bread of idleness

 this is a proverb's 31 series post

Do you have an issue with finding your self in "idle" time only later to discover that you have forgotten to do so many things!  Oh do I ever find my self in that position, and it ANNOYS me a lot.  In fact sitting in idle time is like letting the old devil come in an create monsters in my imagination and heart so that I grumble and complain about all the problems in life.......and THAT is NOT what God wants from his people AT ALL.

Read the few verses below to see what I mean.

And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not. I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. For some are already turned aside after Satan.
(1Ti 5:13-15)

Do you know a woman who spends her idle time wandering about setting up trouble??  Are you that woman??  If you are, you must stop, before trouble brews to the brim in your own home and in society.  We can see the effects of this in our communities as people do not "trust" their neighbors like they did 100 years ago before world war 1 and world war 2 and all the other various wars of the past century.  Not only that, but the lingering effects of men and woman who have turned to violent behaviors and shooting to resolve their own problems of a defiled mind (Aurora movie theater incident for example)

Of course there are times where I love to just stare up at the leaves blowing in the breeze while time floats by, but when I am sitting and complaining about something in my life that is not going right, I am setting myself up for trouble.

So what do we do to AVOID idle time????

1. Make sure you have a walking talking relationship with Christ.
2. Recognize that the nature of humanity is bent on choosing "evil" and destruction of other human beings in their imagination from the get-go.  Cut those imaginations off in your mind and fill-them with ideas for love and blessing of others instead.
3. Use the bible to create GODLY ideas and prayers for your future and your children's future and your children's children's future.  (example: read the book of proverbs and try to meet UP TO the standards laid out in front)
4. Submit to your husband.  He will have ideas for things you can do and things to "fetch"  Work for your husband with a smile and you will be the most happy employee on the block.
5. Plan ahead.  To-Do lists with lots of things to do to grow happiness and grace in your family will do wonders.  Plan a reading times and craft times, special recipe times as a family etc.
6. Learn and do many new skills.  Have a knitting project handy when your children want to go to the park.  Try caligraphy,  fishing and more.
7. AVOID all websites and people that stir up anger in your spirit.  Cut-them off completely.  If it feels like you are only around your husband and children and maybe a neighbor or two.....that is OK.  If we have a relationship with Christ, we are fine.  We don't need to worry and "know" everyone in our community of 300.  God knows them, so that is in God's control.
8. TRUST that God's word is true when he says he will provide food for you as he provides for the lilly of the valley......
9.  Pick up ideas from books like
Link to buy book is found here.
10. Keep a notebook by your side.  If you wear clothing without pockets, were an apron with pockets and keep notebook and pen handy to write down ideas and activities at all times and in all places.
11. Practice and study various ways to keep your life frugal.  Creativity keeps you out of the dwelling place of feeling you "need" money instead of being content with what is available right before your eyes.
12. Study the lifestyles of those who lived before the invention of electrical appliances.  They kept busy in so many alternative ways than we could even imagine.
13. Set up exciting goals for your self and family the "[verb] [number] [what] per [time frame] by the [end time]" method of creating goals.  For example using the formula above a few goals may be "[memorize] [8 lines] [psalms] per [week] by the [end of 2012]" or another may be "[paint] [1 8 X 12] [painting] per [week] by the [end of 2014]" or another may be "[try] [one] [new recipe] per [week] by the [end of one year]"
Create that fun and exciting goal calendar and see what happens ;)

Those are a few ideas, I hope they help!

SELLING: What he must be: if he wants to marry my daughter.

-she sells fine linen
-delivers girdles unto the merchants (item that alters the body appearance under clothing)

This is a proverb's 31 series post

What he must be: if he wants to marry my daughter.  by Vodie Bachum Jr.

"This book is more than you think. It is more than a 'check list' of what a man must be. It is more than a 'how to find a suitable husband' for yourself or your daughter.

This book inspires me to be a better parent, to be more diligent in training both my sons and my daughters, and will inspire men to be better men, better husbands, better fathers. And that is not what I anticipated."

SHOPPING: Genetically Modified Foods (GMO's)

-seeks wool and flax
-is like the merchants ships and brings her food from afar
-considers a field and buys it
-percieveth that her merchandise is good

 This is a Proverb's 31 series post

Deu 22:9  Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.

Unless you live in the 1930's or live in a 3rd world country with little access to food you will notice that we live in a country that sells GMO's.  A lot of our food supply is provided through GMO crops.  In fact, much of the products you eat on a regular basis is taken from GMO products.  However, there is a difference between hybridization and the process of GMO.   Much of the GMO products are that way because the farmers "need" the genetic changes to add chemicals like herbicide, fungicide or other preventative chemicals to the fields.  Unless you live entirely in the city, it is likely that you may have heard the term "round-up ready" soybeans or other terms of that nature.

In hybridization, the genetics of the crop are not changed.  Its kind of like putting a crop of extra-sweet sweet corn right next to a crop of semi-sweet sweet corn and ending up with a crop of extra-semi sweet sweet corn with a variation of colorful kernels in the sweet corn.  The process of change was entirely NATURAL in nature and not influenced by human endeavor.  Hybridization has been going on for centuries.  I am sure many gardeners are familiar with the term "hybrid tomatoes"

On the other hand GMO products are a dangerous product that infects not only human health but animal health as well.  The process of change in the plant is done by MAN-MADE means and more specifically  God himself, the creator of the universe, knew that this process was wrong and specifically forbid such practices in his law in Deuteronomy 22:9.  Both Christians and non-Christians have caught up to the fact that GMO's are inherently dangerous and are not good for consumption.  In fact children with variant forms of autism have been healed simply because they stop eating GMO food products.

Here are a few articles about the tested effects off GMO food products.

So what may a person do to prevent eating or consuming GMO products?
1. READ labels carefully when going to the grocery store.  You may even call the company your self if you are curious.
2. STOP buying products that you KNOW are produced by GMO additives either directly or indirectly.  (indirectly would be a cow that consumed round-up ready soybeans)
3. Buy all-natural and organic products in bulk.  If you need to save enough money to buy more organic or non-GMO products, then cut out on other costs like costs for cable, netflix or other unnecessary forms of entertainment.
4. PLAN ahead.  Write menu's that specifically include non-GMO products.
5. Plant seeds at home in your garden that are not GMO seeds and start producing your own garden and further seeds for more generations.  www.seedsavers.com is a great place to start.

All-in-all as Christians we are NOT GUILTY if we consume a GMO product especially if we do so UNKNOWINGLY.  For example, your mother invites you over for a potluck and other family will be there and they will-fully bring GMO products to the table because they believe it is the best there is while you are witnessing or showing them proper Christian behavior.  Christians are also NOT GUILTY if they are NOT in a financial means to receive or provide organic, non-GMO products or grow those products themselves.

However, a Christian who claims Christ as savior and yet grows GMO products IS guilty, especially if they KNOW the verse Deut. 22:9.  They are guilty if they willfully promote the SALE of GMO products and they KNOW the law of God.

God's laws are designed to protect not only people and society as a whole, but ALSO to protect the environment in which food is grown.  If that were not so, humans could have the potential to destroy not only social function but ALSO the environment in which animals and people live as well.

I hope this articles helps you understand not only how God LOVES the earth he created, but he also LOVES the people he created too ;)

CHARACTER: Characterjournal.com

-Does him good and not evil all the days of her life
-strength and honour are her clothing
-opens her mouth with wisdom
-in her mouth is the law of kindness
-her children and husband rise up and call her blessed
-her own works praise her in the gates.
-she feareth the LORD

This is a Proverb's 31 series

In order to make our homes better, more efficient and thought filled according to God's word, we need to make sure our lives are centered upon establishing Godly character.  Even though we are weak in the flesh, God can and will give us enough strength to help us establish Godly character in the home.  Most homes and even churches in the United States are not filled with Godly men and women of good character, this is largely in part due to the many "_____isms" and cults that surround us and the lack of knowledge of God's word.  God changes not, he still expects us to be good and to use wise judgment in regards to our behaviors and actions.  In fact, our character is molded and improved when we face trials, sufferings  and false accusations in this life, and that is in and of itself, something to be thankful for.  If we are falsely accused in this life we can and should be exceedingly thankful because our crown will be given unto us in heaven above.  I would encourage those of you who home school to consider a portion of each week devoted to training and teaching your children about how to have godly character.  Devote your time to ensuring that the children pay attention while you read the portions below.  In fact, when you go about your daily routine and correct your children in a godly sort of way with kind and gentle wording, so that they will learn how to have better character.

If your home is filled with Godly people, your home will be a happy home indeed.  Possessions are a minor necessity compared to a home with godly care-filled people.  A home of godly people is a home of great riches.

HEALTHCARE: Overcomming Depression and Mental strain

Health Care
-strengthens her arms
-strength and honour are her clothing

This is a Proverb's 31 category

Have you ever encountered or experienced the drain of depression?  Many times people can become depressed because they are looking at the sin of others and trying to judge that rather than looking at one's own personal sin and curing that.    Religion doesn't cure depression as there are people who are in "christian" groups who still find that they become depressed.  In God's eyes, depression is a basic lack of joy in one's life.  In fact, in the eyes of a parent it looks like a child who whines.    When the Israelites whined in Moses' day, God struck the people who whined with the bites of serpents and snakes so that the people actually died.  In our day, people attend the psychiatrist thinking that will cure their depression, only to find out that they are in bondage to death roe as the psychiatrist feeds them all sorts of concoctions of unhelpful depression meds.

God's cure for the Israelites who whined in that day was to "look" at the serpent on the pole to get cured from their snake bites so that they would not die.

As you can see in the verses below, Christ (the son of man), IS the serpent in the wilderness:

Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
(Joh 3:10-21)

If you are skilled in mathematics you will find that the pharmaceutical remedy of depression meds actually does more harm than good.  Statistically, the death rate of those on depression meds is much higher than those who are not. on depression meds.

So what are the steps to overcome depression??

1. Make SURE you are revealing all inner feelings and have a walking talking relationship with Christ.  Go on a "date" or a "counsel session" with Christ and reveal to him your troubles.  Christ knows all things about all people all the time, he will have the BEST listening ear around.

2. Pray for others in bondage to depression at the same time each day.

3. Read the bible regularly.  Prefer the KJV in English speaking countries as it is the cheapest bible on US soil.  Also evidence has shown that women who read KJV are least likely to encounter emotional strain and stress in life.  It also translates back to original Hebrew and Greek the best.

4. Witness to others and speak about Christ to others.

5. If you are attending a psychiatrist at this moment in time, you may find a legal document for removal of depression meds from your list of necessary medical treatment from www.settingcaptivesfree.com website.  You may just "stop" all treatment at the psychiatrist, but some meds are dangerous to the body to stop immediately and you may end up BACK at the treatment facility with even MORE troubles than you had before, so PLEASE check into that first.

6. Cut off ALL and anyone who causes you to get angry.  If that person will not leave you alone, state the words "I need you to stay away from me, because you are making me mad and I DO NOT want to get mad"  The flesh has a tendency to get mad.  Christ wants us to live by the Spirit not in the flesh.

7. Serve others as much as possible.  The flesh does not want to "work" and serve others.  Pray for strength in serving others.  Serving others may mean that you learn new things on how to improve your skills in various areas in life.

8. Read, memorize and meditate on bible passages each day.

9. Fellowship and worship with others who do not practice sin filled behaviors but strictly follow scripture.  Avoid liberal churches who proclaim that drunkenness, sodomite lifestyle, fill in gaps with pagan practices and/or claim that weapon's of war will solve the problems of our world.

10.  If you are still having minor bouts of depression, you could try herbal or alternative remedies instead.  St. Johns wort, fish oil and others are some possible solutions.  You may also try other therapeutic remedies like journalism.

Bellow are a few verses to memorize that can fill our "anger built" flesh with truth and life of Christ.

Psa_16:11  Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Psa_21:1  To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
Psa_27:6  And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
Psa_30:5  For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Psa_32:11  Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
Psa_35:27  Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
Psa_42:4  When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
Psa_43:4  Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
Psa_48:2  Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
Psa_51:8  Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
Psa_51:12  Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
Psa_65:13  The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.
Psa_67:4  O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.
Psa_105:43  And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
Psa_126:5  They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
Psa_132:9  Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.
Psa_132:16  I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
Psa_137:6  If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.

You may also apply the same principles if you have suffered with other forms of mental illness like anxiety, OCD, bipolar, schizophrenia or other issues that can hinder or demean the value of your life.

Always remember, the problems in our world cannot nor ever will be solved by a fleshly solution.  The problems of our world can ONLY be solved by Christ.  We are all strangers and pilgrims of this world and we all need Christ to fill our flesh with truth and strength.  DECLARE WAR on your flesh.  Your flesh wants to lie, kill, steal and destroy yourself AND others whom God loves and You love.  Send it to the caner and replace it with the blood and flesh of Christ.
