Christian Liberty: Education (4)

Ego.  It is the number one problem in a child who doesn't like "learning."  It is the number one problem in an adult who has never learned to approve of "the truth."  To inspire a child to learn and to remove "ego", means a person must not be forceful but rather have a method of proper exposure in a given time frame.  Either repeatedly expose the child to a piano lesson or a spelling and vocabulary list, or develop a regular habit that helps the child improve his or her life.

A Full-Education includes full experience in matters of the way the entire universe functions.  It includes observation and participation in REAL life experiences.  It includes the FULL condition of LOVE that Jesus showed in the bible (without censorship).  If includes observation of "suffering" as the parent or other loved person suffers, knowing that "this life" is a temporary time on earth.

Essentially, for a balanced education that embraces REALITY and TRUTH, one needs to ask the child, is it true?  Is it WISE?  Is it proven beyond the condition of being a theory?  Is it enhancing the condition of unconditional love?  Is it time-worthy?  How have other people failed or succeeded by doing this or that?  Does it enhance faith and spiritual strength?

If your child "cries" for knowledge but the parent reacts in anger, then the problem is not in the child, but it is in the parent.  Such reactions are ingrained in some parents who do not realize what "high expectations" in institutional environments places on the family and the child.  So just relax and allow the child room to explore "this universe" with a gentle and leading heart that is willing to listen and to share what the parent or other caring adult knows about this or that in this world.
