Many people believe that "someone" must mold my child or my child will not thrive. They believe in letting some stranger mold the child or just letting the child wander around assuming that every person on this planet has the best intentions for the well-being of the child's mind and heart.
The truth is that a child is already born wanting to "do something" productive to survive. By the time a child is 4 years old, he or she could easily help cook hot things at the stove with a little supervision! In fact, historically, children were useful to carry firewood and other items around here and there to keep a household functioning efficiently.
A foolish or cruel parent thinks to themselves that a child MUST go to the "nursery school" to learn how to bring firewood or a jar-of-applesauce to mamma and daddy when they need such simple staples of life. This type of thinking is a sort of "neglect" and "abandonment" mentality that sees vice towards godly and sensible down-to-earth living. All that is needed is a parent that is willing to learn the various "Montessori" methods of learning, to help inspire the child's learning environment.
As a result of various instructions on how to do this or that in the home, to keep a home functioning, the child will pick up learning naturally.
Does the child need to learn how to read? Well, all it would take is a little lesson each day from a parent that is dedicated in ensuring that the child would learn certain words out of a "bible" or out of a simple "reader book." The child that has learned how to read out of a bible, per say, will learn to read anything else that comes before his or her eyes. Having the child write verses out of a bible or other source helps the child learn reading and writing just as well!
God created the child to "learn" to read and write!
Unless the parent has a severe health or social issue, the children are better learning in their own home environment and close to home. In some severe cases, like terror environments, they are definitely safer in the hands of the parents who love and care for the children.
