That video series really helped answer some questions I had. That, combined with BlueLetterBible.org, other videos I found on YouTube, and some forums and blogs I checked, and looking at my study Bibles, and I think I'm starting to get it, LOL.
When I grew up in a liberal christian denomination I "hung out" with a guy that had long hair....seriously. He was very verbose and seemed to know scripture at the time. However, after getting into the word more, I have found that being hearers only is deceptive and we MUST be obedient. Obviously, the spiritual effect of not being obedient to God's word is very detrimental for males and females.
I came to know about head covering through an anabaptist friend of mine and have since had many positive and enlightening experiences from being obedient to this scripture passage. If one wears a covering and doesn't consider the "heart" behind it, it could result in dead works. Those angels are powerful and watching our every action!
