But I can say that you will KNOW you love Messianic Jewish faith if you feel a specific -change- in your heart as the word is being read (Old Testament and New Testament). You would also feel a -change- in your heart as you talk to other Jewish believers in Yeshua......like a deeper than normal friend feeling.
There are a few good resources out there: 1. https://www.oneforisrael.org/ 2. www.lionandlambministries.com 3. www.aroodawakening.tv among other resources. Various teaching based TV programs and books. There could be local resources as well.
The best resource is simply bible study and belief......... FULL bible study (a KJV bible works fine in English). Acting on the bible study is the best! Pray for thine enemy.
If a person is coming from a typical "Christmas tree" Christian church, a person will end up -putting away- traditions of fathers that are not really biblical, but idol based, because the OLD TESTAMENT (especially the first five books of the bible) means more to the person. The Jewish teachings from the sages (so long as they are biblical constructive) would mean a lot more to the person than before.
If a person is coming from a typical "yam-aka and celebration of Hanukkah" background, a person will simply need to focus on what the sermon on the mount means for humanity to help uplift the world (keep it from perishing in sin John 3:16) through HIS strength (not by our own works). The understanding of Mary as mother of (Yeshua) would come into play as more of a reality. The book of "James" will now clearly be a book written by Jewish people (not Gentile Christians) and was written in the first church in Jerusalem.
Same with a person that is coming from a secular or other religious value culture. They would have to put away the "old" and follow the "new" and good path.
Does a person -have- to follow everything in the law? Answer: a person WANTS to love his laws and ways. Repentance is good thing......no more drinking, smoking, drugs, addictions, feelings of hatred and so forth. This is HARD in a sense to fight for in this world of "temptations." Also, the words a person speaks are more essential and in favor of redeeming people when at all possible.
Some may even participate in things that are more "Seventh Day Adventist" in nature, for basic faith guidelines and ways. Others may believe as a Pentecostal of some sort, with a belief that Holy Spirit given at Mt. Zion (not the upper room), but yet choose fellowship on Sabbath Day (7th day of week) when possible. Some may even simply choose a more simple "anabaptist" or even "baptist" sort of lifestyle, away from pop-culture influences and entertainments, and willing to suffer in the face of sin-culture.
Love for God and LOVE for neighbor as self are essential fruits!
Note: No, I cannot be "forced" to ignore the reality of my heritage or my relative's heritage. All the theology and political correct conversations cannot "erase" my history and connections to the Middle East. Hence feminized version of Jesus (westernized flavors of Christianity....Constantine style) are "wrong" ways to look at the redeemer of man-kind from a pure biblical/historical-ancestral/astronomical vantage point. Jesus(Yeshua) was a man on the cross who died and rose again. His spirit was given at Pentecost (50 days....Shavuot).....location: Mt. Zion. My in-laws also went to ..... Israel as tourists (not that that would be a big issue or issue of faith, but it can have impact on belief).
.....
All in all.... he, Jesus(Yeshua), says it best: "Mat_11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
