To start with I would like to bring to the forefront of the mind (and heart for that matter) the issue with the "Strange Woman" on the internet.
We as humans cannot possibly help our neighbor and hate someone else far away and yet still claim to love our neighbor as ourselves. It just simply WON'T work. The word is more powerful than an "Instagram Model" if you will. The Pearl's in their book do claim that a woman should be beautiful for her "husband" but they do not acknowledge that some woman who are naturally beautiful will get confronted with #metoo issues! A LOT! Online and off-line! It is a part of dealing with this world! Wearing modest clothing as if a person was in an ice-cave in the dead of winter and needed scarf over the head and lengthy pants under the long skirt STILL will not prevent lust-filled men from lusting! DEAD SERIOUS!@! They do not tell you this in their book unfortunately! But the BIBLE is resourceful, just not in the way they particularly want to acknowledge. Furthermore, whether a woman dressed like this or that will not prevent a man from "straying"....as they assume...but being kind, joyful, lovely etc. will stop ANY straying spouse from doing those types of things (male OR female). (For this reason I admit that Messianic resources should be used and promoted.....aka. Mr. Weinstein, and Matt Laur need salvation too!)
For the most part, I DID give them a 9/10 for rating on resourcefulness, but then I confronted them about another "book author" who was playing the game of "respecter of persons" (Jas_2:9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.) and committing the technology-crime of BULLY (missing disagreement comments) rather than acknowledging the value of the Ethiopian Eunuch or the value in the woman like Dinah who was "raped," they closed off ALL conversation!
So are they resourceful? For some of their content they are resourceful. Even the embezzler who works at the bank or even at the church is resourceful for the "time" they are hired, but when confronted with the reality that SIN is SIN and God even sees the little things that men cannot deal with (aka. the embezzler is a merciless THUG), they did NOT want to deal with that reality! Hence they were playing the role of "God" rather than letting the scripture itself speak about GOD! If they would let the scripture itself speak about GOD, then the parents who are in prison (for their nationality or heritage) and simply cannot get the "rod" out to correct that disobedient child, when that child really can't do anything wrong at the moment, its just that every one is "trapped'; etc etc. then they would understand the power of the story like JOSEPH of the bible. They would open spiritual eyes and sense the reality that sometimes people are bullies......and it IS conservative Christian ministries!
So, like the embezzler, of time and energy and resourcefulness, I give their ministry a 9/10 before the reality that something was fishy in communication showed up (I worked at a help-desk once or twice so I know the role of "technology" I guess). Now I can only give their ministry a 5/10 until they recognize that there truly is MORE in the bible than just "white skin" Joseph in a cartoon character looking book....developed by this ministry. The HOLY BIBLE is more than just cartoons and toys.....for men. It is the HOLY bible. לחם של כדור הארץ
Essentially, any conservative leaning bible ministry that "makes big money" and doesn't acknowledge its issues is the SAME as a "abortion supporting far-left-mockery" political group. Abortion supporting people close you off (online and off line)....they don't communicate and mock you. Womanizing far-right groups close you off (online and off line)....they don't communicate and mock you. They both have the "Nazi" problem in their heart and they don't see it or repent of it. BOTH are lawless in and of themselves.
I don't fully agree with "everything" in the homeschoolers anonymous, due to its far-left-jolly-ride from time to time, but I do agree that their statements about Michael Pearl having womanizing issues to be a problem as a whole and infection in the concept behind the holiness of JESUS (essentially HE wants to replace what JESUS said in how to be HOLY person)...
Other conservative ministries have had positive influence in the lives of "abused' or "troubled" people which would be a better choice..... www.titus2.com, http://wissmanns.blogspot.com/, http://tomorrowsforefathers.com/gracenotes/ , http://shiningstarsmagazine.com/ various messianic resources (Try Michael ROOD not pro-womanizing Michael Pearl for resource and information about FACTUAL biblical topics) and so forth.....
