Astronomy vs. Faith

When a person gets the opportunity to "study the scripture" and study it well, he or she may run into  some dilemmas with various -Denomination- groups.  The people within the -Denomination- groups LOVE the scripture, but they may not "know" everything about something in relation to the bible-calendar or astronomy.

When a person studies the "biblical calendar" and understands the pattern of the Qumran Calendar, it is important to understand that Christianity CONTINUED to exist even without knowledge of this particular calendar!  Yes, it is a good calendar and helps explain many things in the bible in a way that Christians never could before.  But one must live life by faith, NOT by the Calendar pattern.  If we do that, we become the same as the people who believe in horoscopes and astrology and conduct our life by superstition.  This is something we are NOT to do.  Doing so is living life in a carnal-way, rather than a spiritual way.

So in essence, if we know how the bible-calendar works.  We know that the "moon rise" time is important for understanding events of the bible, particularly, in ways that describe the prophecy and events that lead to Jesus, then that is something we can keep within our hearts and minds.

Amo_8:9  And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:

A person may follow messianic teachings, but knowing that the "calendar-time" of the Qumran Calendar may be a little bit different, does NOT mean that the teachings or understanding of the bible from their perspective is bad!  In fact the teachings can enhance faith.  It just simply means that the changes that occurred in the use of the Calendar since the time of Jesus changed.  The scripture itself has its own "calendar record.

So go ahead and listen to and understand any teaching from any denomination that agrees with the bible as a whole.  Faith groups like Seventh-Day-Adventist, Baptist, Anabaptist, Messianic and so forth.  As a whole "faith" does not come by knowledge or puffing one's self up in that way anyhow!  It comes through practices of humility, service to others, thinking of others, training up the children, resisting anger and things of that sort!  All those things were supposed to be practiced before enhanced knowledge of the "biblical calendar" and "astronomy."
