Habits wear on a person. From a very young age you have developed habits! Some habits are good for you and some habits are harmful for you! Basic life necessity habits are not bad for you unless you have developed habits that are destructive, such as constantly believing that someone else will fix all of your food for you. No, the creator and redeemer didn't even plan this type of thing even for Adam and Eve. God himself made Adam and Eve into habitual human beings.
The evidence of habit passing down from generation to generation was passed on to Cain and Able!
It is VERY apparent that Cain didn't develop godly habits! Able developed the godly habit of worshiping GOD the way GOD wanted to be worshiped!
You in your mind may feel that you are worshiping God the right way and other people are not worshiping him the right way. People in their habits have been doing it through xyz tradition must surely be following the right patterns of behavior, you say. But further evidence points that this may not always be the case!
If your mind is like the mind of "Cain" then you will be upset when you see other people doing things by habit in a way that you do not like. Your life seems like a palace while their life seems like a disaster. But further evidence points to the reality that people do have different habits which created these certain disasters for them and made other people struggle.
We don't have that right in God's eyes to control other people's habits so long as those habits are not harming others and are beneficial to how they work with their creator.
When you develop Godly habits, and are not concerned with the excessive bad-habits of others, your mind starts to uphold what is good for man-kind. Everyone will have their own habits, even variations in ways to follow God! There may even be people who do not follow any particular "religious pattern" or have a true faith in God that is habitually correct at all times! When you accept this truth, your value towards God will increase and the ways of men will decrease.
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
