There's something about Charlie Puth

Now, I know that this particular singer does not sing Christian songs.  (Note: Christians are not always Catholic or Protestant.....they may identify with other social groups like Anabaptist, Messianic, Hebrew Roots, semi-evangelical independent groups or other things)

But he is a public figure so he can serve as an example of what to do and what not to do when dealing with life.

1. He sings love songs.  The Song of Solomon IS a part of the HOLY BIBLE, so to eliminate that part of the bible is to eliminate a part of the human life that our creator wants us to "appreciate."  One particular song which he sings, seems like the story of Ruth and Boaz (One call away)....

2. He has a beautiful singing voice.  If Christians could sing with such passionate love towards each other and towards our creator God, imagine how many people would leave the secular and sensual culture due to the display of godly love, instead of trying to win souls by "condemnation."  Perhaps we should pray for such strength.

3. His mother is Jewish and used her skills as a music teacher/employment to influence her child to such singing skills.  His father was real-estate and a general "white guy" real-estate personality.  Parenting practices "rub off."

4. Some of his songs are appropriate for the general audience.  For persons under 18.  One of his songs is unique in that the unofficial music video includes guys who are "nerdy" looking and don't seem to be noticed by this world.  Charlie actually considered himself a "nerd" in his teenage years.

5. Some of his songs are NOT appropriate for the general audience.  The worship of sexuality, lust and bondage (alcohol addictions, heavy night life, immodesty in women etc) gets more attention than the aspects of love and what it requires, (self-denial, kindness, overcoming personal anger, think about the type of person you are with etc).

6. He is a general likable singer.  He doesn't seem too "full of it" like many pop singers become.  Hence he seems to have eliminated pride and generally admits to his "failures" as he is human.

7. He has spoken or was around people who support "Gay marriage" and things of that nature.  Does that mean that he is vicious about supporting such a thing?  For example, supporting the tearing down of bakery that doesn't cater to certain weddings. I don't know.  What I do know is that his approach to such individuals is not "condemning" and it is also not "catering" for the most part.  Jesus himself, loved those who could not love themselves....... he was around sinners.  Jesus himself also had conditions of "love" that were different from institutional conditions.

8. Jesus was around sinners.  He went to rich famous sinner's homes.  Charlie doesn't seem to be bothered by being around sinners.  Charlie doesn't seem to be bothered if his fans are sinners.  Be like Jesus.  Be like Charlie.

9. He has a scar on his eye brow.  He would not have a "life" had a vicious dog taken full control and a caregiver not given attention to his need for saving from the vicious dog as a young child.  As a teenager he really had a "teenage boy look" and not as much handsomeness.  The scar does not cause him to fear singing.  His teenage look did not cause him to fear appearing before pop-stars and Hollywood gossip.  His scar does not cause him to fear appearing "nice looking" to people.  Don't let your scars wear you down.  Some scars are hidden in the heart.

10. He loves his fans.  Others could be following you......as you are.  Not that he is perfect, but that he chooses to overcome that barrier.

In some ways I can relate to CHarlie: 1. Musical talent.....I have a little bit in the reality that I can play some Rachmaninoff.  2. Computer Nerd..... well yes, I was the back stage tech person and the "help desk" person at college 3. Some middle east culture connections through family.  The personality is unique and determined to success.....

(Why have not I written a lot of this and that about other activities in my life, such as my gardening activities?  sewing activities?  household tasks etc?  answer: because unconditional love for humanity holds more value.....than the everyday mundane.  More than we realize)
