You learned that for a solar eclipse to occur the moon needs to come in front of the sun while our eyes see the sun.
Ok........now what is scripture telling us?
It is saying that when Jesus was on the cross there was darkness over
all the earth from the sixth hour to the ninth hour (noon-3:00). The sun
was darkened.
Then we read in Amos that the sun would go down at noon and it says the Lord will darken the earth."
