How to fix long term care? Especially in the pandemic era?

Long term care exists.

There really isn't any way to "escape it"

Elderly conditions exist and the conditions in the human life have been here since the beginning of time.

Car accidents.  Severe workplace accidents.  Unforeseen genetic diseases.  These things can occur in even those under age 65 and require the need for 24/7 care.

1. Biblical principles need to be priority.  (most private homes have some sort of Christian basis in this area)

2. Out door "decks" should exist in appropriate resident homes.  A little porch area where the resident may freely leave their room and visit family or others outside their own room.  Sure the door can be adjusted with an "invisible wall" for those who have wandering issues....but the outdoor deck allows visitors at all times.....even during a pandemic.  (simply cover the deck with appropriate "green house" vinyl when visiting).  Appropriate means of opening the door can only come from the nurses desk or other types of monitoring methods.

3. Sauna care.  It doesn't have to be as supreme as a special care line spa, but having a sauna care on hand can reduce respiratory ailments.  Even a box which contains a heating pad can serve as some sort of "warmer."

4. Offer more resident and family centered therapy and remedy solutions as they feel is best as appropriate with conversation with doctor.  (Vitamins, EFT, massage etc)

5. Physical therapy should include a specialized walker in each appropriate resident's room which reminds the resident to walk daily (or as frequently as needed).  Basically a walker that has a special function that lifts and tilts the resident to appropriate height for walking and movement.

7. Think about it....more.
