So TODAY..... my youngest WALKED to school.....as there WERE rumours about this and that going on in the Neighbor hood (Its not always Mr. Roger's friendly....BECAUSE we DO live only yards away from the Ave. of the St's....who knows WHAT comes upon that HARD in the HEART sometimes road!...speedin TOO FAST@!!~~!!)..... 6. You may use this dwelling during the time of "Feast of Tabernacles." It doesn't even cost as much as a camper! It doesn't take up a lot of space because fence posts are so thin and can be hidden under a tree! You may use this dwelling year round! You may use this dwelling to go camping! You may use this dwelling to raise some small farm animals!
7. Add in house-like things to eat and celebrate as food, family and fellowship with the tribe year round out-doors is a gift! Practice living Off of the Grid!

The above image is a couple of baskets with grass woven into the baskets to prevent dirt from falling through. The baskets are CHEAP..... so these are really quick large potting containers. The bottom image shows the squarefoot garden growing. It consists of a four foot by four foot table that is eighteen inches off of the ground. Many types of plants in one small space. I'm not concerned if things get over crowded......I'm more concerned if animals eat the plants before they are harvested..... we also have some interesting vandalism neighbors..... so much for public education!
The image is upside down, but this is a picture of our square foot garden. It is basically aluminum foil pans with the bottoms cut out of them to divide the different plant types. I plan to water everyday and fertilize every week to keep the plants healthy.
Costs? Table was 30$ of lumber n' nails, Pans were 1$ per two pans, Seeds ....we bought 30$ worth of different varieties, Dirt ...when we bought it, the cost was about 2$ per bag to cover 2 sq. ft. other wise my parents farm had a lot of compost dirt.
Those of us who live in the country have the advantage of the big garden to help reduce our food bill. However urban or suburban dwellers with little or no space to garden can also supplement their food bills. If you have a patio, roof top small space or any other open area this helps significantly. Finding a large container for free can be simple. Cut the tops off of milk jugs, juice jugs, pop cans, water bottles and such with a little optional drainage port. Ask restaurants,grocery stores for 5 gallon buckets and such. You need at least 6 to 10 inches of depth to have sufficient root room for your plants. Find dirt from a river bank, dike, hidden spot in a nearby forested area, or other place where the property is pubic yet hidden with nutrients. Take the soil home and bake it in the oven for a little while on extra low heat to kill off the old weed seeds. Add a little rotting leaves, compost or other nutrient rich substance. You may also add a little peat too.
Once you have your soil in your pot, you may garden as usual. You may not have to weed as often as with regular gardening, but you will have to make sure the soil is always moist. Also if it rains regularly make sure that there is enough drainage so that small plants do not drown (I ignored some of my potted herbs and found them drown in the muck this year). You shouldn't have to weed your garden. I highly recommend you read about "square foot gardening" This will give you great ideas on small space gardening.
For those of us who live in cold climates container gardening is also great. I would like to grow some herbs, kale and lettuces indoors this winter. I hope it works.

Squash is a wonderful food as it offers so much nutrition in the winter months. If you don't have access to canning supply, definitely consider raising squash. Canning tomatoes and such can be expensive on the utility bill unless you have conquered solar cooking. Consider planting enough squash to last two to four meals per week. That way there will always be something healthy to eat on your table in the winter months rather than an over processed can of spam.

Unless you live in the 1930's or live in a 3rd world country with little access to food you will notice that we live in a country that sells GMO's. A lot of our food supply is provided through GMO crops. In fact, much of the products you eat on a regular basis is taken from GMO products. However, there is a difference between hybridization and the process of GMO. Much of the GMO products are that way because the farmers "need" the genetic changes to add chemicals like herbicide, fungicide or other preventative chemicals to the fields. Unless you live entirely in the city, it is likely that you may have heard the term "round-up ready" soybeans or other terms of that nature.
In hybridization, the genetics of the crop are not changed. Its kind of like putting a crop of extra-sweet sweet corn right next to a crop of semi-sweet sweet corn and ending up with a crop of extra-semi sweet sweet corn with a variation of colorful kernels in the sweet corn. The process of change was entirely NATURAL in nature and not influenced by human endeavor. Hybridization has been going on for centuries. I am sure many gardeners are familiar with the term "hybrid tomatoes"
On the other hand GMO products are a dangerous product that infects not only human health but animal health as well. The process of change in the plant is done by MAN-MADE means and more specifically God himself, the creator of the universe, knew that this process was wrong and specifically forbid such practices in his law in Deuteronomy 22:9. Both Christians and non-Christians have caught up to the fact that GMO's are inherently dangerous and are not good for consumption. In fact children with variant forms of autism have been healed simply because they stop eating GMO food products.

So what may a person do to prevent eating or consuming GMO products? 1. READ labels carefully when going to the grocery store. You may even call the company your self if you are curious. 2. Buy all-natural and organic products in bulk. If you need to save enough money to buy more organic or non-GMO products, then cut out on other costs like costs for cable, netflix or other unnecessary forms of entertainment. 4. PLAN ahead. Write menu's that specifically include non-GMO products. 5. Plant seeds at home in your garden that are not GMO seeds and start producing your own garden and further seeds for more generations. www.seedsavers.com is a great place to start.
All-in-all as Christians we are NOT GUILTY if we consume a GMO product especially if we do so UNKNOWINGLY. For example, your mother invites you over for a potluck and other family will be there and they will-fully bring GMO products to the table because they believe it is the best there is while you are witnessing or showing them proper Christian behavior. Christians are also NOT GUILTY if they are NOT in a financial means to receive or provide organic, non-GMO products or grow those products themselves.
However, a Christian who claims Christ as savior and yet grows GMO products IS guilty, especially if they KNOW the verse Deut. 22:9. They are guilty if they willfully promote the SALE of GMO products and they KNOW the law of God.
God's laws are designed to protect not only people and society as a whole, but ALSO to protect the environment in which food is grown. If that were not so, humans could have the potential to destroy not only social function but ALSO the environment in which animals and people live as well.

Yesterday my handy man husband was able to get our 30+ year old tiller running so that we would have the opportunity to grow a garden this year! Yay! and its right out side our door. No driving to pull weeds!!
Right now the garden is about 10 by 20 but we are hoping for a garden that is 20 by 30. I hope to have all the early plants and seeds in by the middle of next week ;) I am doing a square foot garden style this year so that I can cram everything into a tiny area and allow the actual plants to grow while choking out the weeds.

In some cases if you don't live in a wild open area, you may talk to a farmer and see if you may look through his pastures for these foods. Make sure you look in a pasture where animals are so that you aren't harvesting foods that are sprayed with pesticides. Either that or make sure you find foods near an organic farm. Once the foods are harvested, the foods may be dried, canned or frozen so foods may last all year long ;)

Finally, our baby James Cameron was born as he was without heart beat this Monday. It was hard to go through the process of delivery, but all was safe. He was born as a 15 week old child at 2 oz and 14 cm long. We will bury him later this week. The hospital was nice and took pictures of our little child and gave us knitted things to remember him with. It will be hard to know that he won't beable to give us hugs and call out our name here on earth.
After that incident, I can no longer, even though I never really did in any form, support or encourage anyone to ever go through a form of man-performed abortion. It is cruel and inhumane. A child is a child no matter the stage of pregnancy and no matter what "tests" say. The life of the the mother will not improve if she removes her own child. It is better to die for your child to save his or her life than to remove ones own.
This is written by me a women who has had "anger" issues in the past, have relatives who have their issues with sin (alcohol, strip clubs and the like) but have found hope and healing in Christ alone.
The resounding answer is YES! If you look at the situation like sin is the snake that comes to eat your pickles in the garden this will help you see the perspective from the eyes of Christ. And sin was in the nature of Adam Lanza who came to "eat" the children of the school in CT.

Weaponry and love of violence were clearly evidenced in the home of the mother who raised the child. This is a wonderful book and a wonderful family who understands the importance of proper good social skills with those in wheelchairs and with grey heads. Notice that the book states that keeping our children's hearts is our VITAL priority.
3. Proper psychology was not administered. Yes I have worked with children who have or have had Asperger's syndrome. They are beautifully intelligent children. A good book from a general "look" on psychology is written by Gordon Thomas entitled "parent effectiveness training." Complete honesty and win win with children rather than authoritative or neglectful attitudes can change the behavior of children quite well.
4. Reading the bible to the child!!! Had the mother read the words of Christ to the child from an old fashioned KJV bible EVERY DAY that child would have had the mind to want to LOVE God and not evil.
5. Administering positive free time entertainment activities that perhaps showed the child how to use electronics and technology in a positive light. Have the child "video tape" momma washing the dishes and then doing some gardening as the mother was fond of doing. Both positive activities. Have the child write why he LOVES to watch momma do those things!!
6. Make sure the child is set free from his or her sin. www.settingcaptivesfree.com has a resource for those whose child may be on the verge of mental collapse.
7. Gardening the mind of the child in a KJV bible home school base. The mother chose to home school AFTER problems with the public school system, but secular knowledge doesn't show the child what sin nature actually is and looks like. Knowledge of the ways of God as well as giving the child additional chores to keep busy and resourceful each and every day. Faith and works produce good fruit. We are not apes we are humans. IF you are reading this you are a person who was not "aborted" by your mother. Teaching children the words of socrates and plato is NOT the same as teaching your children the words of Christ.
8. Spanking immunization. If a child is spanked no differently than giving the child a shot at the immunization clinic under the age of three, issues like this will surely be prevented. A child that understands what pain feels like is less likely to want to give others pain and grief in life. We as a society must learn how to properly spank again or more of these problems WILL show up. How to do it: spank self first three times to ensure proper level of pain, then when child "touches" or "eats" something foolishly, administer spank. 9. MOVE AWAY from bad influences. Too much alcohol, too many drugs, too many weapons etc. MOVE MOVE MOVE!!! And DON'T call back.
10. Public schools are full of bullys. They were in the days of Laura Ingalls Wilder and teachers were KILLED by bullies in the small public school houses even in those days.....and they will continue to be that way unless PARENTS show who is boss in this world God first, poppa second, momma third, child has apprentice opportunity under their guide.
Those are just a few examples of how the CT situation could have been prevented. I hope that more parents choose to raise children in the eyes of Godly ways. It is HARD WORK!!! But it MUST be done to prevent more problems like this in God's garden of people.
