I do not believe in divorce and remarriage UNLESS GOD himself told that person to "get out" of that first DANGEROUS DESTRUCTIVE marriage.
Hosea? A woman married to "Eli's sons"? Dinah of the bible married to "something religious but no gospel" (like Muslims)? Someone married to "Hamman" and they happen to be Jewish? Lot's daughters attempting to force marriage to Sodom and Gomorrah "destruction"?
Just sayin..... Things like THIS could be around.
Leviticus 11 and other old-testament passages are there for a REASON....for a SEASON. To illustrate points under the sun.
Was Paul of the bible married and then remained single for these types of reasons? I don't know for sure....I have to do research. I've read and heard "stuff" here and there....but I don't always know EVERYTHING. I do know that "these situations" do happen to REAL PEOPLE.
I'm thinking that the "woman at the well" had a slightly different HEART than the woman in Hosea....that's kinda what I venture to guess about the situation.
I have heard of S& G women and men coming OUT of that lifestyle and getting REMARRIED in proper biblical definitions. Nothing to say about masculine and feminine differences which could happen to any infertile couple....just in the aspect of BIBLICAL definitions.
Yes, King David's FORCED remarriage of Bathsheba was sin driven. BUT GOD filled in the GAP.
