Church groups, faith groups.....need to promote JESUS.....not NERO....

A way that a fellowship group or church should address sexuality issues in a confused and ungodly world.  Perhaps a person can apply this to their life and beliefs in various ways.  Avoid certain faith groups?  Become a missionary towards certain groups?  Become involved with healing people who were deceived by these things?

Nero is an example of a man who completely rejected self control in the first century.  Many (not just Christians....and people in his own family) were damaged by his lust for power.

Statement regarding sexuality in this fellowship group (bible verses and stories can be referenced as necessary):

We believe that marriage ceremony practice only involves a male and a female.  No more no less.

We believe that some who come to faith in Christ may come from mixed relationship conditions.  Divorce and remarriage.  Polygyny polyamoury.  Out of wed-lock conditions and so forth.  In some cases, remain as you are.  In other cases, it is better to remain unmarried than to encourage sin-filled life styles.

We believe that a person does not need a govt' based certification to ensure proper scripture marriage.  Governments have been known to forbid marriage (especially biblical foundation marriage....historical issues?).

We believe that govt' based certification does not ensure proper scripture interpretation of marriage.

We believe that any who have fallen away from the faith can renew their vows and return to their "first spouse."

We believe that faith is not entirely based off of marriage and relationship status.  Widows, Orphans, single persons, general companions, brothers, sisters, close kin and any other form of relationship.  It is based on a person's willingness to fulfill God's word through Christ the redeemer.

We believe that some cases of one male and one female marriage may not be permitted due to other circumstances.  Sin-related conditions or health and safety being the higher value.

We believe that in some circumstances, however or in what ever era may be necessary to dissolve a marriage due to the safety of the believer.  Issues may be: severe domestic violence, racism, major health issue, terrorism, cult-like mentality, unrepentant infidelity or any other condition where one partner does not protect the life of the other partner.

We believe that in no way should a person be rejected from the promise of redemption even under unfortunate circumstances of upbringing.  (Ruth was a moabite, the Ethiopian eunuch was shown the gospel etc.)

We believe that LOVE itself does NOT just apply within the frame of marriage.  It is a spirit conviction that leads people to the promise.  People can be married to an unbelieving spouse.  People can have sisterly love and brotherly love (companions).  People can care about family conditions.  People can have love for a group of people under a certain condition.  JESUS alone with his promise is the water that will lead people to the truth of eternal life (addressing the woman at the well).

We believe that the example and stories found in the bible regarding sexuality (relationship and companionship) are for today and apply to reality in how we should handle the vulnerable as well as the victim and the criminal.  Any story like Joseph and Potiphar, Lot and his daughters (Ruth was a Moabite), The woman caught in Adultery, The woman at the well with five husbands, Jacob and his many wives, David and Bathsheba, Jesus addressing lust, John the Baptist addressing Herod's divorce and remarriage, Hosea etc etc.  All the stories are for instruction in righteousness.

We believe that some people are not fit or designed for a covenant marriage.  Intersex people do exist.  Former abused people exist.  Former LGBT persons who encountered disease, deformations or other disorders do exist.  Sometimes covenant marriage will not work for them.  Redemption is for everyone as the bible says "such were some of you."

Any and all things not addressed in this post should be addressed through conviction in the Holy Spirit, love for JESUS, through the promise of redemption and through the word alone.


Please do note that SEXUALITY is NOT the foundation of the church.  The church does NOT battle against flesh and blood but against principalities.  It is a practice based on the human condition since the time of Adam.  NEW ADAM is redeemed...while OLD ADAM doesn't care about the principles of redemption.  Read the full scripture.  There ARE other things......GIVING of Money....HEALING the Sick etc.

Just because we are not "like them" doesn't mean that stuff isn't around...... so to speak.  Historical events can apply as well...to biblical and current events.

When things are just too much.... hope is still there....

there IS darkness in this world....

He is the light....
