They don't recognize it, because they are "caught" between a clogged understanding of how to allow the "holy spirit" to flow in their life.
Of course, by reading this blog post (or speaking this to the crowds....street preacher style), one will not KNOW entirely if they have those clogged arteries, but they would need biblical knowledge and PRAYER to fill in the remaining elements of what it means to have clogged spiritual arteries.
Here are a few things to check:
1. You are the center of the universe. People need to do for you, what you won't do for them. The kingdom you are building on earth is for YOU, it is not for the CREATOR.
2. Worldly ideas mean more to you than simple humble realistic ideas. Being rich and famous (though not all people are "bad" if they become famous) is your life goal and principle, instead of the reality that being rich and famous may take work, effort and compassion to even get to that level. Some important famous people are harassed daily and they sometimes require a special lawyer to protect them from the attacks.
3. You ignored your origins and the faith of your forefathers. Yes, 4 generations ago, your g....grandparents had this or that sin or issues, but that doesn't mean that their contribution was entirely flawed. Your elders and members of humanity have a history and story to tell.
4. Extended family will entirely support your moral expectations. Everyone will believe in this or that principle when in reality your extended family may not "meet up" to your reality because your extended family was born on a different day, time, place and brought up under different adults and figures for their safety.
5. You believe that you can replace a certain people group of a certain race or heritage. The things you suffer are because they told you that they suffered under this or that from your sort of people group. This is strange and unusual way to interpret human history. Maybe you call yourself a "fake" person of that group when the true evidence shows you are NOT a part of that group and/or heritage.
6. Sin issues are no big deal. This could be anything for any topic of discussion. From how a person worship's God, to brotherly love, to caring for the weakest members of society, to sexuality issues, to emphasis on holiday and seasons, to signs and symbols a person uses to express their beliefs. Values are the "enemy" instead of the reality.
7. Listening "ears" are not "good" in your "eyes"
8. You turn your "eyes" away from that which needs to be addressed.
9. Cold "heart" becomes your place of rest and redemption.
10. Your home is on this earth and it isn't focused on things above.
11. Your relationship problems are the problem of the person you betrayed. You failed to see THEIR value before even "touching" the person and giving them your "heart."
12. Your "mind" has more strength than the "heart" you were given to make your mind work. (The human mind doesn't work unless the heart is beating)
13. The bodies of the people who raised the generation before you has no meaning. The reality that there was an "older child" in the family before you has no meaning. The reality that there was a "younger sibling" in the family before you has no meaning.
14. Forgiveness doesn't have a place in your heart.....
15. You used your mind to read a book about suffering of this or that group of people. You didn't think it was true and walked away telling false stories about it and the people group origins.
16. You follow the "kings of the earth" "leaders of this world" who set up kingdoms that are against the LORD.
17. You don't even believe the gospel.
18. You believe you can control the signs of nature and human nature itself. You believe you can control the "face" of a person (internal id)....their structure, their hair color, their eye color, their foods they can or cannot eat, the people they are related to, the dreams people have at night, the visions people have for the future etc. This includes nature itself the way a plant develops its flowers to bring the next generation, the way a bird flies in the air, the way cattle behave and should be treated by man, the timing of the things in astronomy etc.
19. You believe in telling extended family how to coordinate with how they "worship their REDEEMER." Your heart doesn't want to believe that they understand "biblical things" that way.
20. No empathy for those who suffer under this or that sort of oppression.
21. The future generations shouldn't exist, especially if the future generations are coming from a "bad home" or situation. Everything in your power is given to a false sense of "woman's rights" instead of the realistic sense of "woman's rights." Note: the future generations WILL exist, even if the home of origin was corrupted in the heart.
22. You believe in unloving someone because of their height, lisp in their talk, lack of or enhanced IQ, failure to xyz etc.
23. You believe everyone should know everything about everything in one day. Who was the king of France in the beginning of the 11th century? Paul the apostle traveled to this or that location in Europe. You should know these things right now. If you don't know then why are you setting up unrealistic expectations.
24. You don't value the older males or females (immediate or extended family) in your life who protected you when they were caring for you when you were under a certain age, or over a certain age.
25. Finally, (but not the last) you believe you can actually STOP GOD from saving and loving HUMANITY.
The list could go on and on and on....for an eternity.
Do you have loved ones that died before you? Where did they go after they died? How do you know? What about you, where will you go after you die?
The reality is this.....in CHRIST people are ONE BODY and ONE BLOOD. His redemption is needed to store up for the KINGDOM. The more knowledge you have of HIM and HIS REDEMPTION, the more likely the "clogged spiritual arteries" will go away. (YES, in the HEBREW LANGUAGE....as the bible describes his name is YESHUA.....that is just the way it is....and his name is perfectly written and the stories of him are written correctly)
Solvent to the "clogged spiritual arteries"..... start with reading the Matt. 5, 6 and 7 and Gospel book of JOHN. Then go back and figure out the rest of the bible (believe the first five books of the bible to the last five), but reflecting on the REALITY that no man is an "island" and each is accountable to the CREATOR of the heavens and the earth. Attend a faith or fellowship group that believes in the REALITY of what is written in the scripture, not extending its corruption in a worldly way. Regular bible study helps eliminate the failure to understand what needs to be redeemed in this life.

Lies are not acceptable in the KINGDOM of HEAVEN. When a person has their origins and their beginnings....then that is what they have......
This is called.....egg (DNA heritage) comes before the Chicken......so essentially.....the CHICKEN does in FACT come before the Egg.
Adam and Eve......well... the origins of ADAM came before.....the EVE....and the beginning of human origins.
Then there is the other reality....EXTENDED FAMILY....
When considering the "first born" and the connections to REALITY in family life....then there is something beautiful in the mix of nonsense...(aka. DNA tests can tell us who are cousins are).
For some reason that magic evolutionary sky monkey who landed his ship in Bethlehem (his name is JESUS....not a product of evilution) told us things when he grew up to about 30 years old like "love your neighbor as your self" for specific reasons beyond what we could see.....he died on the cross as JESUS KING OF THE JEWS...and it just so happens that these "Jews" are hidden in the "Family JEWels" from time to time......and if a person hurts their own family....they are hurting the KING OF KINGS.
