I have written about the problems of Lori Alexandar writings before (she is a popular conservative writer...but misapplies the scripture to fit HER life and not the life Christ wants for his bride). Here is another article that proves that she has NOT experienced proper heart changing expression of the scripture and what it requires as a matter of faith in his holy-life and living. This particular quote from her article proves the point "All women who are speaking, teaching, prophesying, and praying in the churches are in rebellion to God’s clearly stated role for them." Statements like that are not in proper exegesis if you will. Proper continual praise......always on a person's lips. This writer properly explains the more right thinking exegesis about woman speaking in church (or bible study event). Basically woman CAN speak, prophecy and pray IF it is done in an honorable way, but Lori Alexandar does not accept this truth.
I have heard of a woman who was once a lawyer and then decided to come home to family and raise the children up in the LORD. Such a woman says it is HARDER to raise children in a godly way than it is to be a "lawyer," if you will. So getting "upset" at the woman who "speaks" in front of men is besides the point of what it means to be godly woman. Foolish clamorous -men- are out there(you know they are the ones found at the "riot driven" pro-choice woman's marches, or the foolish wicked men who support terrorism and its various branches of thought), as there are numerous stories in the media about these types of men......and the only hope is a godly woman who speaks truth in a merciful way (Think Sojourner Truth, or Rosa Parks.....types of things).
1. Women can pray in a church. The bible NEVER says women can never pray. Else there is no "church." If her head is COVERED she is honorable if you will. Women can pray for her spouse and children and other folks too!
2. She forgot the bible verse that GOD will give WOMEN the ability to prophesy..... "Act_2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:" In that verse it says WOMEN (handmaidens) will have this ability to prophesy!
3. She forgot the bible verse that GOD will give daughters the ability to prophesy..... "Act_2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:" This is in the KJV of the bible.
When Christians call themselves -Christians- and are merciless.......towards these "little" things that matter in big ways. Trivial things like disposing of a person who says "Yeshua" rather than "Jesus" or a person says "leche" instead of "milk," then they are actually a part of the "counterfeit" versions of Christianity (lost far-right versions that embrace the evils of this world and mock the very being of the purpose of the gospel). The types of Christianity that do NOT expose the evils in the heart of men and women. The types of Christianity that are not merciful. Christianity NEEDS to have elements of MERCY AND TRUTH or it is counterfeit to removing "evil" from this earth (By mercy and truth iniquity iis purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil. Proverbs 16:6) When women are merciless and not truthful, they are just as "vile" as an ungodly man who is lazy, thoughtless, selfish, violent and so forth. So just being a "woman" and being silent in the face of "evil," is "evil" in and of itself. There is a time to speak, so long as it is edifying of the body.
Furthermore, when Jesus rose from the grave the first one he appeared to was WOMAN. Not to man. And in Jewish culture, this is an important matter because women need special "purity" rituals and mikveh baths in-order to be clean and to be "seen" in holy places by their traditions.
Yes, I have seen Jewish women who are more of a "silent" type......but such woman are also quite kind-nature, humble, knowledgable and wise, not loud and boisterous about bragging about how women "shalt not speak" in a church (as if this is the ultimate expression of faith.....a silent woman....which it isn't the truth).......gathering, and just allows the spirit to lead.
Furthermore, the "leadership" of men should be leading men AND women to be more right in HIS eyes. They should be led to the goodness of God's laws (first five books of the bible) and ways...else they are not truly following the JEWISH king of the JEWS.
For more understanding about why it is not Christian belief to just allow "men be men" without the balance of woman read THIS ARTICLE. I would NOT consider the writer of this blog to be "feminist" as she believes in "keeping home and family" and holds a very balanced understanding of scripture.
Further reading and understanding about why "patriarchy" which has appearance of good (by keeping women OUT of the Holy life) but is actually "evil" can be found by considering the life of this woman from Pakistan. She is NOT currently Christian as far as I know, but the Christian influence has started to come into that region after many years under the false prophet influence.
