I put my hair in lightly added "rollers"..... It added a bit of curl to my hair... Just for fun.
There are other videos out there that show a person how to work with wavy hair to make it curly instead of using Straightener. I just say.... naturally dry your hair with products that work and let hair naturally dry in rollers (rag curls of some sort).
