Pro_4:19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
Once upon a time, Sue was going to get married to Sam. Sam was a nice man. He had plenty of money and confidence. He never did anything wrong. So they got married. They started a home. Everything looked good because Sam worked and Sue stayed home. They had a perfect "conservative" family life. Sue could stay with the children so they wouldn't be exposed to all the dangerous things in this world.
Unfortunately, sin was creeping around......in the heart of Sam and Sue. There wasn't anything they could do to fix it. All the "conservative friends" started agreeing with being nasty to the homeless man down the road. They all agreed that the "minority man" thought about God the wrong way. They just couldn't get the right notion about eternity and what it means to die to "self." Just being conservative was "good enough" all the conservative friends would say. They even started supporting some of the things that goody "liberal view" people would support which really were not so supportive of biblical views.
The only thing available was the "biblical view" to solve this riddle. Yes, the "biblical view" does have a tendency to sound pretty conservative from time to time. But the focus in the biblical view is on the one who provided the TRUTH to humanity in the first place. The blind man was given sight, you see, but the conservative view only shows a "life style" which can't really work unless true redemption has taken place.
So what truly helps Sam and Sue? Is it living a "conservative lifestyle"? For a certain point of view it works for a while, but a sense of need for TRUE JUSTICE and TRUE MERCY is needed. Enhancing the heart would need a "biblical world view"........ This is not based on political moray of "this world"......and goes against what humanity wants......"flesh and worldly gain"......
Essentially it is like this. The "conservative view" is of this world. The "biblical view" is to put away the "flesh and worldly gain"...... That should be pretty clear and heal our hearts and minds as we travel from here to eternity.
