Blossoms in Spring Time
So barren and bleak through the winter,
The victims of freezing or storm
Frail branches reach prayerfully upward
And wait for new buds to take form.
Each tenuous shoot pushes boldly,
Destroying the walls of its tomb;
New life shall explode from its prison
And suddenly burst into bloom.
The born-again blossoms in springtime--
Wild seeds sprouting up through the sod
Will display through magnificent beauty
The splendid creation of God
