A great way to learn about Christianity & the bible.....

Sadly there are many folks (women and men) who are confused about Christ and the bible. I attended a liberal arts college, which did not acknowledge that 2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness was true. Sadly, they attempted to appeal to folks of many sorts of religious backgrounds in order to fulfill their secularized economic agenda, rather than clearly leading students to know the truth as it is written in scriptures. There are many LOST college students who attend classes such as these "bible classes" and they NEED clear guidance through the bible or they truly miss the whole meaning of Christ's death on the cross. I occasionally post on www.whattoexpect.com boards, and I often come across women, who have moderate to severe religious confusion. Some are educated enough to practice medicine or law and have married and divorced and have held several relationships with various men or even women. Others are still in high school and are secretly expecting. These women need guidance and need Christ. Unfortunately the what to expect boards are set up like a public school system or public institution so any talk about Christ and Christianity often gets mocked.........


Because I attended a public school and "paid for" a flaunted version of biblical studies I recently signed up for a free bible study course on-line at the bible broadcasting network. It is set up similarly to online study course for a particular college. A person can listen to the teachings and take a simple true/false test after it is completed. Thus far, I have enjoyed listening to the teachings because it clearly describes the flaunted ways that various people may believe (From deism, to monotheism, to atheism and pantheism) I truly am grateful that there are scholars who are willing to look at the world through scriptural eyes rather than looking at scripture through the world's eyes.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

A list of the courses can be found here. You may brouse the courses and choose to become a full student or simply pick and choose the courses where you need more understanding. Either way, the more we know about Christ and why he died, the more we can reach out to those who need him most.

Of course I know that we are blessed to have MANY MANY more free Christianity and bible study courses, but for now I'm choosing to sutdy with bbn radio.

It's been a while since I have posted. We recently moved to a live-in suite/extended stay motel and are planning to "hit the road" when we are led to do so. Thus far we were able to pack all that we needed, including cooking supply into our small black car. We have visited one http://www.ncfic.org/church-network style church and it has been a blessing. It is nice to attend smaller churches because the people will have an opportunity to know one's name. Some people consider "frequent movers" as living off the tracks, but I say its better to live in the spirit than to stay stuck in the mud ;)_

Speaking of whispering, I lost my voice because I have been having a cold that has centered its location in my throat for the past couple of weeks. Readers be praying for healing...... Also, even though I have the loss in my voice it has caused me to recognize my need for more prayer and submission!! Hooray for those needs in my life. Loosing my voice is nothing new to me, as I used to participate in a lot of speaking events....from drama to speech contest in high-school in the public school system.....so it often seemed my colds would some how find me in the event that I would need to give a speaking oration of some sort.

By the way, I wonder if there are some women in some cultures where unassisted birth is the norm that whisper when they give birth rather than scream at the top of their lungs. Just think how much extra energy they conserve by holding their tongue.....

Free college courses

Want to get college education for free?? If you are a self motivated person, it is entirely possible!!

Its possible with online technology and public library as resources. If you live near a university, it is rather easy to form your own syllabus (a piece of paper that guides a person through plan for the class schedule) and book reading list. However, if you would like someone to evaluate your English writing skills and presentation the best way to conclude that you have succeeded is by economic or popularity standards.....ie. lots of folks visit your blog or other such things.

Of course many of us have heard of the liberal version of the public education television. Many of the ivy league colleges and state colleges offer open course ware as well. Here is an example:

The dangers of the "Utopian" society

As a former college student at a liberal arts college, we were encouraged to read a book entitled "Utopia" by Thomas More. The book may seem innocent at first glance...but it is in-fact very ungodly book if compared to scriptures.

The current state of the United States happens to be that of a liberal "utopian" and ungodly society except for a few faithful Christians here and there

The following things are encouraged in Thomas More's utopian society......"Other significant innovations of Utopia include: a welfare state with free hospitals [OBAMA and his free health care system] , euthanasia permissible by the state [abortions and other "legal" human removal methods], priests being allowed to marry, divorce permitted, premarital sex punished by a lifetime of enforced celibacy and adultery being punished by enslavement [the current healthcare bill includes punishment/jail-time for teenagers caught in premarital relations]. Meals are taken in community dining halls and the job of feeding the population is given to a different household in turn.[many of our super-size farms are currently governed by GMO engineered crops and animals] " More information about this book can be found here.

Thomas Moore was a catholic so his ideas stemmed from Catholicism. It we compare Thomas Moore's ideas of a utopian society it is very apparent that we are definitely living in the last days.

Lets continue to evaluate the condition of our lives according to the scriptures and not according to man's wisdom.

Frugal diapering and equipment

Many think that it costs thousands to raise a baby.....wrong! When my oldest was born it cost under 350$ for used baby equipment and such....that included such unimportant items like a crib. When we rely on God to provide, it is likely that all our needs will be met. In primitive cultures, the baby shares the same sleeping space as the parents so the concept of having a crib is unknown to them.

Overall, I believe the most expensive part when raising a baby is diapering. However, this financial burden is easily overcome with a handy sewing machine, knitting needles and crochet hook. I created an entire stash of diapers (about 30 or so) out of a flannel sheet set from a used goods store for under 10$. Wool soakers were created with wool sweaters from the used clothing stores as well and they work quite well as long as baby is changed frequently. I've also created fitted diapers out of flannel fabric. To create wipes, I bought a set of white terry cloth wash clothes from wal-mart, cut them in quarters, and then sewed around the edges to keep them from fraying in the wash. A solution of olive oil, tea tree oil, vitamin E and warm water is added to a spray bottle for moisture on the wipes. I prefer to keep the moisture out of the wipes until ready to use because mildew often accumulates on the wipes. Cloth diapering can be fun especially if you have a little extra cash on hand and you like to create some fun looking diapers for your baby.

Thoughts Noah and man's tinkering

It is very obvious that anything which man creates comes from the ground. Even the computer I am typing on came from the ground or products out of the ground. Man makes both good/neutral (homes, shelters, vehicles, books) and evil (weapons of mass destruction, swords) things out of the ground....and usage of those items depends on the heart of the man.

God stated that the ground is cursed: (Gen 5:29) And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.
However, in order to survive in this life it is necessary for man to "tinker" and build. Even though I attended college and was a part of many mathematical and technological classes, it is very apparent that one cannot use that knowledge (as it is basically dry and spiritless) unless it is filled with the knowledge of scripture! Man can alter and change mathematical formula's to suit his own personal desires (hence the invention of health insurance, pharmaceuticals, oil etc) however, man's inventions are fruitless unless guided by the scriptures. Man's work must be guided by the solid foundation which is Christ or destructive forces are produced.

Here is a neat book about living off of the grid as guided by the scriptures in such a way that nature itself is not worshiped......nor is man glorified in all his creations.


By the way have you ever noticed the difference between items invented by man vs. items invented by women. It is apparent that there are very few "woman" inventors. If there is a woman inventor or political promoter....she may intend to do evil with her invention (margaret sanger....for example) Even marie curie and her "discovery" of radioactive elements for x-ray proves to show very little positive fruit in the world....a country now "sickenly" dependent on a flawed health care system. Also, excessive exposure to much medical radiation actually causes illness and disease, so it is best to avoid those "necessary" tests and check-ups at the doctor's office.

As Christian woman, be happy to be submissive to our husband's as this is good for yesterday, today and the future (as Christ taries in his return).

Helping your child read before age 3

In our public education school system, it is believed that children cannot read until they are 6 or more years old. This is entirely NOT true. It is possible to teach a young child to read before he or she reaches school age.

I posted earlier about assisting my oldest son with reading as a toddler. If you are diligent and work with your child daily it is possible to see results with very little effort in using the flashcard methods. Repetition is the key. Repetition is the key. Repetition is the key. VaRiaTIon gains attention. I also use the brill baby website to gain ideas for teaching my child with reading. My son loves to learn new words. Right now we are at the stage transitioning between reading a full book and picking up new words that were not previously observed. He is also capable of reciting a book that has been read to him several times and rhyming a list of words......Language is fun at any age!

In the near future I plan to personally teach my child hebrew, and greek. Although I do not believe an individual can gain full spiritual depth by learning the languages, I know that it will help greatly when my child chooses to study the scriptures at a deeper level. Helping one's child have an interest in scriptures starts at a very young age!
