To carry through

At times I still feel a little bit of depression linger in my life and it feels as if everyone is against biblical truth as I understand it from the perspective of God' love.  I hate it when people put God's love in a box on a TV screen.  It distorts truth and people come up with the belief that you can form a better relationship with a stranger on TV than with family members and neighbors.  During these times of late winter, hopes for signs of spring linger.  Normally people can easily cope with such times while leaning on the arms of other people.  When a mother makes the personal decision based on logical statistical observation and personal conviction based on the moral condition of large and small communities, to educate her own children the arms to lean upon are limited.  Because of the lack of shoulders, giving up is common for a home education mother at this time.

How can we cope without giving up the dream and the necessity to care for one's own is about like planning to drive through a garden of weeds.  We need to weed through our own unforgiveness, our own boredom and our own lack of keeping a meek and quiet spirit.  This task is not easy.

We can keep up with joy and a spirit of comfort in these times by planning ahead.  Perhaps getting invested in a hobby to keep our mind off of our desperation for better weather.  Ideas for hobbies can include the following: painting, quilting, sewing clothes, putting together puzzles, solitaire games, learning new music, scrap booking, stationary cards, homemade soaps and lotions, pencil drawing, and more.

If you are also facing other troubles like flu, cold or morning sickness during these times, having plenty of tea and healthy food on hand can help a great deal.  As well as plenty of fresh air and exercise.  Be kind and forgiving of yourself if you are unable to keep up with housework.  The time to keep up will come when you are feeling better.  Your children will still learn if you continue to expose them to more advanced learning material.  Audio books and hobbies can help children learn at any time.
